BEHIND THE LIST

Editorial Policy

Our editorial purpose is to make app research useful and accurate. The standard applies to every profile, whether its name came from the site’s supplied catalogue or a reviewed listing. Publication and featured placement do not amount to an endorsement.

Sources have different roles

Publisher-controlled material can support a product fact; Android documentation can support a technical explanation; applicable official records can support regulatory context. Secondary listings help identify names and claims to investigate. Their statements do not independently confirm ownership, APK safety, popularity, legal classification or financial performance. A general rules source cannot prove that a particular app implements those rules.

Unknown means unknown

We do not invent ratings, download counts, bonuses, testing results or reviewer credentials. A numeric statement needs a recorded basis and a clear scope. Unreported main-card fields say so; empty supporting rows can be omitted for readability. The editorial review record preserves any material uncertainty about identity, installation and payments.

Evidence before stronger language

Statements such as “tested”, “official” or “verified” require evidence specific to the claim. Technical testing would identify a build, device, method and date. Legal classification requires applicable primary records rather than a category label. We do not use a single review score as a substitute for these distinctions.

Original writing and clear attribution

Profiles add original explanations and comparisons to the recorded descriptions. We do not copy competitor reviews or present a listing’s stars as our own score. Where a numeric claim is recorded, the card labels it as a listing statement. Product names and supplied artwork are identification aids rather than seals of approval. Authorship describes the use of AI assistance.

Keep claims and dates in their own scope

A main-card listing snapshot stays together so different release descriptions are not silently combined. Other observed amounts remain separate. An inspection date records when source material was read; an editorial date records a text change. Neither becomes an app release date or a completed test. Original reference addresses and capture notes are retained privately, and public profiles explain the scope of their records.

Corrections and commercial boundaries

A correction should identify the page, disputed statement and supporting source. We assess it against the same evidence rules regardless of who submits it. If a material error is established, we correct the relevant content and its review date. We do not promise a response deadline.

The current site has no paid app placements, affiliate download links or referral codes. Any future commercial relationship must be disclosed beside the affected content, and cannot purchase a verified label. Our Disclosure explains those boundaries. We do not promote online money games or present financial offers as reasons to use an app.
